Located in the sea front of the Playa de las Caletillas beach, in a quiet area of the popular resort of Playa de las Americas, and a stroll away from the resort centre, the 5 star Mediterranean Palace Hotel was built in 1988 and refurbished in 1995. The complex features 541 rooms, including 41 Junior suites, distributed over 5 floors and surrounded by sub-tropical gardens and around an amazing 1300 square metres swimming pool with stunning fountains.

Terrace and splash pool at one of the upper Suites at the Mediterranean PalaceRooms are all air conditioned (or centrally heated, according to season) and come equipped with en suite marble bathrooms with hairdryer and telephone, minibar, Satellite TV, direct telephone with answering machine, piped music, safety box, desk, pay per view TV channels and either balcony or terrace. Most of the rooms and suites are interconnected to fit the necessities of families and groups. Additionally, 12 of the Suites at the hotel feature a terrace with a small private splash pool.

Hotel facilities include a 24 hour reception area, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, car parking, as well as both buffet and a la carte restaurants with show cooking, public Internet terminals, boutique and laundry service.

Among others, the complex features some sport and leisure facilities available to guests which includes a 1,300 square metres outdoor swimming pool with fountains with an integrated children's section, furnished sun terraces and gardens, children's playground and mini club, a hard surface tennis court, mini golf course and what is called the "Atlantis Chill Out" zone on the fourth floor of the hotel, offering panoramic views over the Ocean and a smaller swimming pool.

Additionally, guests at the Mediterranean Palace are welcome to enjoy the facilities of the neighbouring Mare Nostrum complex from the same hotel chain, including 4 swimming pools for adults, children’s swimming pools, jacuzzi, solarium, tennis courts, daily activity programme for adults and children, hairdresser and mini-club (for children aged 4-16 years), as well as the Thalassotherapy Centre Mare Nostrum SPA. Some others facilities such as the fitness room, the aerobics room, the sauna or the tai chi and yoga sessions can be enjoyed but may have an extra cost.

As in almost any hotel, the Mediterranean Palace Hotel runs a daily entertainment programme with many activities for both children and adults, as well as shows, live music and a mini disco every night.
