Located at 250 metres from the Playa del Duque beach, in the tourist resort of Costa Adeje, the Riu Arecas Hotel was built in 1998 and features 371 guestrooms, including suites, distributed over a 3 and a 5 story building.

All rooms at the Riu Arecas are air conditioned and come equipped with bathroom with bidet and hairdryer, carpeted floor, telephone, ceiling fan, mini-bar, Satellite TV and music channel, safe box (at an additional charge) and balcony or terrace. Some guestrooms have an inter-connecting door, perfect for families or large groups. Additionally, all suites come equipped with a separate living room with additional satellite TV, bathrobe and dressing room.

Hotel facilities include a foyer with 24-hour reception desk and 4 lifts, boutique shops, hairdresser's salons, an air-conditioned restaurant with terrace, lounge bar with terrace and a poolside snack bar.

Leisure facilities at the hotel include two swimming pools (518 and 447 sq metres) heated in winter plus and additional children’s swimming pool (20 sq metres, also heated in winter), children’s playground, complimentary sun loungers, changing rooms, towels and parasols by the pool. Additionally, guest are welcome to enjoy the sand terrace at the neighbouring Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife as well as the "Body Love" health and beauty centre: beauty salon, massages, etc. (add. charge applies).

Table tennis is available complimentary in the hotel, and two floodlit hard surface tennis courts or the billiards tables can also be used at additional charges. And nearby, you will find assorted water sports available at the Playa de Fañabé, 18-hole golf courses and bicycle hire services.

The Arecas offers a daytime entertainment program for adults and for children and during the evening live music, shows and the Riu Evening Program several times a week, including Gala or Canarian theme evenings (once per week).

Thank you we stayed for 1 week over the new year, wish it could have been longer.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Riu Arecas. Food marvelous, staff very friendly, fantastic views from balcony, hotel & bedrooms very clean can't really fault, only the bed could we have a more comfortable bed next time

We have been to a lot of 4 & 5 start hotels, but to be honest the quality of service at Riu Arecas beats all previous ones.

The food was really good as well as the rooms, but one things we really liked compared to other hotels and resorts we have been to is that sunbeds can't be reserved as this is not allowed by the hotel.

The hotel is is well located, at about 200 yards from the sea promenade.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, specially families.
